Paul, you sound unbelievable great!:) very informative interview, well-detailed interesting to hear about the rescue of the Nepalese girl in which Meagan was involved. Very kind – Meagan, is also our hero in many ways. Mira

Paul, the interview was fantastic and you sound great. Absolutely fantastic what can be shared with technology. Rest well and be safe and climb strong. Phil M

Rosemary and Dave from Paynesville – bit cold today, 15 and overcast. Will be thinking of you and Attila tonight and can picture you with a glorious view from the summit and hope those Brits don’t crowd you – if they do maybe their body heat will make it a little warmer up there for all of you! You sound full of beans but also relaxed in the interview, no panting and puffing like last year. Should be able to enjoy the views more coming down too, I know you’ll take care, don’t even think about using those exercise bikes, come back to Fiona asap. Fantastic you’ve achieved a second chance at your dream – if you’re meant to make it you surely will. Getting this far is bloody marvellous.

Hi Adler, hope you have fun (if that is possible!) on your summit attempt. Bridge and I will be keeping a close eye on your progress. We look forward to hearing that you get back to camp 4 safe and well.

Hi Fiona, thanks for keeping us posted on Paul’s progress!

    Hi Paul & Fiona,

Just listened to your interview from yesterday. You sound great Paul. Fantastic to hear the good news about Meagan, Steve & Dirk. Good luck & good weather for the climb ahead. Fiona, thinking of you as well. My best wishes to you both. Denise.

Paul’s Everest Climb 2007

In 2007, Paul returned to climb Mt Everest after missing out on reaching the summit by 100 metres the previous year. In 2006, Paul and Fiona both climbed together and although Fiona successfully summited, problems with Paul's oxygen system forced him to turn around. On 23 May 2007, exactly a year to the day later, he reached the summit. This is the daily blog from this climb.
