Paul at camp 2, 19 May 07

May 20, 2007 By blogadmin 4 Comments

Paul phoned in this audioblog on the evening of the 19th May but a minor technical glitch prevented it appearing on the site. Now fixed. My apologies for the delay. There is still some problem with the sound, and his voice comes and goes a bit. But largely OK.

You are seem relaxed, confident and patient excellent trio of qualitys regardless of one’s physical but especially cool from Everest C2…Hope that the winds diminish and that the weather develops into very fair conditions. There was rumour last week that the Apple’s Iphone would not be ready for the June 30 release date as some software problems had suddenly developed which caused the share price to lose 3% in two trading sessions, when it was determined to be inaccurate information share price promptly returned to year high $110 usd.
Glad to hear that the other climbers are doing so well, I am sure your support and company is much appreciated by them. Hope that there is not a interruption to the good meals whilst at camp 2 and that you are doing very well there. And that the weather cooperates in a timely fashion allowing a possible move to camp 3. All the best to you Paul, sending positive thoughts your direction this Sunday afternoon and hoping that the weather forecasts continue to be informative and accurate.

Paul’s Everest Climb 2007

In 2007, Paul returned to climb Mt Everest after missing out on reaching the summit by 100 metres the previous year. In 2006, Paul and Fiona both climbed together and although Fiona successfully summited, problems with Paul's oxygen system forced him to turn around. On 23 May 2007, exactly a year to the day later, he reached the summit. This is the daily blog from this climb.
