Interview from Camp 1 on 774 today

April 24, 2007 By blogadmin 1 Comment

Hi everyone,

Just a quick message to let everyone know that Paul will be interviewed on ABC 774 this afternoon at around 4:20pm.

If you’re in Melbourne you can listen on 774, otherwise, you can listen online at http://www.abc.net.au/melbourne.  We’ll try to get this recorded and make it available later on as well.

I was driving home from work at 4:20 yesterday and as always had the radio tuned into Lindy and heard Paul’s interview. It was great to hear how he is coping and that he is taking every precaution to remain fit and healthy for the climb. My students from Lara (SRO) were thrilled to read Paul’s reply to their questions…….there will be more questions, they are really interested in your personal challenge. Thank-you for time that you take to reply to the students. Sue H

Paul’s Everest Climb 2007

In 2007, Paul returned to climb Mt Everest after missing out on reaching the summit by 100 metres the previous year. In 2006, Paul and Fiona both climbed together and although Fiona successfully summited, problems with Paul's oxygen system forced him to turn around. On 23 May 2007, exactly a year to the day later, he reached the summit. This is the daily blog from this climb.
