Jim Gagne, your climing partner is a very fortunate man. He couldn’t have a better partner especially when he so needed help. Now it is time to refocus, rest up and think of your goal again. If anyone can do this Jim, it is you. Regardless of what happens you will know you have sacrificed for a great cause. Remember it is only one hill, and it is yours when the time comes. We are all thinking of you. Mary and Bob

To Jim Gagne.
Jimmy Boy. “You are a true beast”, says my son Steven. Everyone here in Stoneham is truely amazed with the events that have transpired over the past few days. You belong on that mountain. It is clear that you were sent to Everest for more than one reason. All of those reasons may have been realized already, but only you know for sure. You’ve overcome alot and sacrificed for others. We couldn’t be more proud of you. Now it is time to take care of Jim. Whatever that means … Do it!
All our love and best wishes. We’ll see you soon with some big hugs.
-Steven, Josephine, Steven, Alex, Kenny and Ed

Our prayers are with you and all of the other climbers, including your guides. Perhaps we will get to visit you and the rest of my dear Dad’s family when you are home and recuperated.
