Camp 3-Camp 4 Update 3 11.10 a.m.

May 22, 2006 By paul.adler

Geneva Spur
I have just heard from Paul and Fiona and they have reached the Geneva Spur. They are having a rest there and say that they are feeling fantastic and the oxygen is a great help to them. The weather is perfect-about 13 degrees and the sun is shining. They have even taken lots of pictures.

I am sorry for people who are trying to work, but the feedback I am getting is that all their family, friends and supporters are glued to their computers! (just change the screen when the boss comes past or better still involve him or her-the more positive thoughts and good vibes the better!)

South Col
I’ll let you know when they get to the Col as that will be my next update.
Mary

Arrived at South Col (Camp 4) 12.00 middday

    Hi Mary,
I have this perfect pic of Everest on my desktop taken
from the north east. You can see C4 south col > all the way to the summit in great detail, so as you update I am getting a real sense of the excitment and awe as Paul & Fiona go onward and upward.
All systems go… again my thoughts are with you.
    Thanks

    Dear Paul and Fiona,
We have been carefully following your amazing voyage for many, many days.
You are so close to reaching the summit and we wish you success, joy and love.
We think that you two must have some of the ‘bravery genes’ of our dear friend RONALD FANE MUNRO. (who is the grandfather of Paul and an Australian hero of WWII…and, Ron M.is our hero as well).
With every good wish from Dawn and Bob C. Go well, take care and return to us with your wonderful stories of conquering Everest as a couple.
