    Paul,

Thanks for answering my question. On the Global Earth depictions, it looks like it’s just black rock, so I’m now educated on what ice-covered scree looks like. Please continue to drink warm tea to help your throat.

    warm regards,

Steve (only 60 days til Mt. McKinley summit)

    Hi Paul,
It was great to hear your voice tonight and to know that all is well. I guess it will be a little lonely now with Tim and Damien on their way back down, but it will not be long before the girls arrive. I know that you will be very busy getting everything in order for your further challenge. I am really looking forward to hearing how the girls master their trek into base camp. I wish them all well and I will be following my cousin Margaret’s climb closely. It will be great for you when you first sight the girls trekking in and no doubt you will have that welcome cuppa waiting for them. Good luck to you all.
    Glenda Baker.

    Paul,
Thanks for the audio update. MyEverest has proved a hugh success. Good luck as you start the acclimatizing. Are the ice falls a completely different climb from year to year? Do they move enough (and fall) since last year to required a completely different route, ladders, and challenges?
Sending you warm sunny Florida beach weather…

Paul’s Everest Climb 2007

In 2007, Paul returned to climb Mt Everest after missing out on reaching the summit by 100 metres the previous year. In 2006, Paul and Fiona both climbed together and although Fiona successfully summited, problems with Paul's oxygen system forced him to turn around. On 23 May 2007, exactly a year to the day later, he reached the summit. This is the daily blog from this climb.
