huhh guys that sounded pretty windy! but otherwise you are doing great Paul! what an insight into the feeling near the top of the world your audio blog can give us! In my earlier comment is was wondering about are you still enjoying Australian-Hungarian salami and cheese and it seems you do!:)) I am glued on my screen. You must be excited also. Have a great climb and hope the wind goes off! Mira
Thank you Paul for giving us a window into what it’s like to be near the top of the world – very special indeed! All the best with your bid for the summit tonight.
I was curious as to whether you are taking a wind-on film camera to the summit this year? I recall Fi having some difficulties with her digital camera batteries on the summit last year, and was wondering whether an old-fashioned wind-on might alleviate this issue, or whether the film would freeze rendering it useless..
I’ll forgive you if you don’t answer my question until your return to base-camp! :o)
Unbelievable update Paul. Thanks for going to the trouble of sharing your experience with us all. It is really amazing what can be delivered. Will be thinking of you and Attila as you head off and up. Hope all calms down and all is OK. Phil M
We are sooo excited for you (and a tad nervous!!!). The updates are amazing! Its so good to hear your voice from all the way up there. We are thinking of you tonight & will be taking the Blackberry to bed with us again over here in NJ so we can keep up with you! Climb safe.
That was a really fantastic audio update. It is amazing to hear commentary from you as you progressed up to camp 4. I hope the wind lets you have your shot at Everest,

My candle will burn until you are safely back to Base Camp – and am asking the mountain to allow you and Attila to “top out”!

Congrats Paul and Crew.
You’ve (both) done something some people only dream about. Both of you must be so very proud.
Thanks for the updates as well Fiona.
I’d have a beer for you…but it’s 9am in London…I’ll wait a few hours.
